New Jewelry TOKYO 2025: A Celebration of Creativity and Contemporary Craft
From November 28 to 30, 2025, New Jewelry TOKYO returned as Japan’s largest designer jewelry event, bringing together visionaries who continue to redefine the boundaries of modern adornment. Since its debut in 2010, the fair has become a cultural touchstone for jewelry lovers, and this 16th edition once again promises three inspiring days in the heart of Tokyo.
Now attracting more than 10,000 visitors each year, the event has evolved into a vital platform for experiencing the most current expressions of jewelry design. Around 130 brands will present their collections—ranging from artisans preserving time-honored techniques to contemporary creators shaping today’s fashion landscape, as well as emerging designers who offer a glimpse into the future of the craft. The beloved Gemstone Polishing Workshop also returns, inviting visitors to engage directly with the magic of materials.
A highlight of this year’s fair is the BEST JEWELRY PRIZE 2025, announced on November 28. Chosen by 712 attendees, the Audience Award celebrates two standout brands:
Mei JEWELRY, led by designer Mei Shiratori, received enthusiastic praise for its emotionally resonant creations. Believing that jewelry carries memories and sentiment, the brand strives to infuse everyday life with positivity and intimate beauty.
KOHKOH, by Takashi Kojima, earned its second consecutive win. Founded in 2023, the brand is known for innovative techniques and a bold creative approach centered around pearls cultivated by the designer himself—bringing a fresh perspective to a cherished material.
Congratulations to both winners, whose luminous work continues to inspire the future of jewelry design.
