Tokyo Mineral Show Concludes Successful Run in Ikebukuro

The Tokyo Mineral Show, Japan’s largest exhibition dedicated to minerals, gemstones, fossils, and meteorites, officially closed today at Sunshine City Cultural Center in Ikebukuro, bringing its annual four-day run to a successful conclusion.

Throughout the exhibition period, the show attracted thousands of visitors, including collectors, researchers, industry professionals, and families, reaffirming its status as a major international event in the fields of geology and gemology. With hundreds of exhibitors from Japan and abroad, attendees explored a vast selection of rare minerals, cut gemstones, fossils, and handcrafted stone jewelry.

One of the highlights of this year’s show was its special exhibition program, which featured scientifically significant fossils and educational gemstone displays illustrating the journey from raw mineral to finished gem. Interactive activities, such as geode cracking experiences and themed displays, also proved popular among younger visitors and first-time attendees.

Held annually in Tokyo, the Tokyo Mineral Show has become an important platform for cultural exchange and scientific education, connecting the public with Earth’s natural history through tangible specimens and expert knowledge.

Organizers expressed appreciation to exhibitors, visitors, and partners for their support and confirmed that preparations for the next edition of the Tokyo Mineral Show are already underway.
